I'm taking Wegovy for weight loss and I've been on a pretty slow and stead weight loss period for the last 4 months, but for the last few weeks I feel like I've hit a plateau and I'm getting very discouraged. I'm scared if I up my dose I'll experience all the bad side effects but maybe that's what needs to happen to continue my weight loss journey. Let me know if anyone has any tips!

First of all, I just want you to know that this is totally normal and a part of a weight loss journey. It’s so easy to get discouraged, but it truly does take time. I’ve had multiple months at a time where I haven’t lost anything. I struggle with the same 1 to 3 pounds every week. Sometimes it feels like. The only thing that’s really helped for me was increasing my walking, and actually tracking the amount of protein or calories that I’m getting. Some days as I wasn’t eating enough and some days as I was eating more than I even thought. I definitely recommend working with a nutritionist for them to find out exactly how much you need each day.

So J know it’s not what you want to hear, but tracking my calories and protein reallly helped! I started working with a dietician to find out where I needed to be. That way I knew if I was eating too much or little.

Completely understand this frustration! Something that helped for me was changing up my workouts. It seems small but it really helped get me out of a weight loss slump while on a GLP-1. I was burnt out on going to the gym and incorporated more walking into my daily routine instead. I feel like sometimes we just need to break our patterns to get out of slumps in general. I hope this helps!
